Garment Care
Every DeAngelo piece is crafted from premium materials and tailored to last a lifetime. Proper care protects the fabric, maintains the structure, and preserves the refined look that defines the Quiet Strength collection.
Follow the guidelines below to keep your garment performing and looking its best.
1. Wool Coat Care (Hero Coat)
Our Hero Coat is constructed using luxury-grade wool with handcrafted tailoring. Treat it with the same intentionality it was made with.
Daily Care
Use a soft clothes brush to remove dust and lint.
Hang the coat on a wide, structured hanger to preserve shoulder shape.
Allow the coat to air out after wear — avoid sealing it in a closet immediately.
Storage
Store in a breathable garment bag (never plastic).
Keep away from direct sunlight, which can fade natural fibers.
Avoid overcrowding your closet — wool needs space.
Cleaning
Do not machine wash.
Dry clean only — preferably with a cleaner experienced in luxury wool.
Spot clean gently with cold water for small surface marks.
Avoid over-cleaning; wool refreshes naturally with air.
2. Cotton Oxford Care (Slim Oxford Shirt)
Made from premium Supima cotton with a fine twill weave.
Washing
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
Use mild detergent.
Wash with like colors to preserve clarity.
Drying
Hang dry or tumble dry low.
Remove promptly to prevent deep wrinkles.
Ironing
Iron on medium heat.
Use steam for crispness.
Avoid ironing directly over embroidery — use a cloth barrier.
3. Essential Tee Care
Crafted from premium cotton blends for softness and durability.
Washing
Machine wash cold
Turn inside out to protect the fabric
Avoid harsh detergents
Drying
Tumble dry low or air dry
Avoid high heat to prevent shrinkage
4. Hardware, Embroidery & Details
Buttons & Hardware
Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture
Wipe hardware dry after rain or snow
If a button loosens, have it reinforced to maintain durability
Embroidery
Do not scrub embroidered areas
Iron inside-out or with a protective cloth
Avoid high heat during ironing
5. Handling Moisture & Weather
Rain
Wool can handle light moisture but should never be soaked.
If wet:
Hang to dry naturally
Keep away from heat sources (radiators, dryers, heaters)
Snow
Brush off snow gently as soon as possible.
Allow the garment to fully dry before wearing again.
6. Long-Term Preservation
For seasonal storage:
Ensure the garment is clean before storing
Add cedar blocks or lavender to deter moths
Store in a cool, dry space
Use a structured hanger to maintain form
7. What NOT to Do
Do not machine wash wool garments
Do not tumble dry wool
Do not store in plastic
Do not iron directly over logos or embroidery
Do not use bleach or harsh cleaners
Do not leave the coat folded for long periods
